Bradford Area Public Library is offering an adult art for the holidays program for the first three Mondays of November.
Local artist Courtney Mealy will conduct adult art for the holidays workshops. Participants must pre-register and prepay for the workshops. Space for each workshop is limited to 10 to 12 participants and will fill up quickly. Register at the Circulation Desk.
The library is offering three workshops: tissue paper dyed scarves, homemade Christmas ornaments and holiday cards. The tissue paper dyed scarves workshop will be on Nov. 5 from 5 to 6 p.m. Due to the popularity of this workshop last summer; we will have an additional workshop from 6 to 7 p.m. that night as well.
Participants will tear tissue paper and arrange it on a scarf to create a pattern or fold up the scarf to create an abstract pattern. Participants will take them home with instructions on how to finish the scarf. These tissue paper dyed scarves workshops are each limited to 10 participants and will cost $5.
There will also be a workshop for making homemade Christmas ornaments on Nov. 12 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. These polymer clay homemade Christmas ornaments are a fun project and will make a great addition to a tree or tie one onto a gift for extra special gift wrapping.
On Nov. 19 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., the library will hold a holiday card workshop. Each participant will be able to make a minimum of four unique cards. These final workshops are limited to 12 participants and will cost $5 each.
