The Bradford Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its Oktoberfest/26th annual public auction on Oct. 25 at the Bradford Club.
This community event is the chamber’s primary fundraiser, with proceeds supporting the many services provided by the chamber. The doors open to the public at 5:30 p.m.; with the live auction beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Through the continued generous donations of products, services, and more, an exciting variety of items will be put together for the event, which will feature approximately 25-30 live auction packages, as well as silent auctions, pretzel drawings, and a 50/50 playing card drawing. The live auction will be conducted by Lloyd Burkhouse of Lloyd Burkhouse Auctions as well as local celebrity auctioneer Tim Asinger of Kessel Construction. Included in this year’s festivities is a menu of German and traditional fare suitable for the Oktoberfest theme and a cash bar.
“We work with local businesses and community members to not only showcase their products, service and talents through this event, but also to help promote and support our business partners and the Bradford area,” said Kara Kennedy, executive director of the chamber. “This is our main fundraiser of the year, and we appreciate the support of our generous donors and sponsors.”
Donations of items for the auction are being collected, and any company, organization, artist, or other individual interested in contributing items should contact the chamber office. The deadline for sponsorships has been extended until Oct. 15th, and monetary donations are appreciated in any amount. All sponsors at the Silver Sponsor level and above receive reserved seating, if desired.
“Bring your friends, family, and colleagues and enjoy the evening with us — the energy of the live auction always makes it a great time. And there is something for everyone among the auction items and drawing prizes,” said Kennedy.
