A fever was contagious at Thursday’s Make Music Festival –– and more cowbell did not need to be prescribed.
Summer fever, that is –– where Main Street was filled with music, food and dancing.
Some brought lawn chairs, others walked back and forth, traveling from one stage to the next taking in the performers. Families, couples, even some family dogs were enjoying the festivities.
From youth to elderly, there was something for everyone at the second annual event. Acts included Marshmellow Overcoat, Twin Tiers Concert Band, Hartle Brothers Band, Dr. Myslewski, a drum circle and many others whose performances were met by dancing, clapping and singing crowds.
Jeff Vanscoter, of Bradford, unveiled that his two favorite parts of the event are the crowds and meeting people, especially girls. His favorite food offered at the event was the pizza.
Lydia Pompa, a high school student, said that she would like to perform with her high school orchestra. Pompa said that more youth bands performing has a positive impact on the diversity of music offered at the festival.
Food was offered from The Sweet Shoppe of Kane, Dawggonnits, A Slice of the 80’s, The Bradford Lions Club, Jimmy Johnson and Sno Cones; dancers from Studio B and BADC performed; and hands-on activities included NEMC’s “Try it Yourself” and a musical petting zoo.
