Ava Sheriff, age nine, competed in the Florida AAU State Qualifier Invitational for gymnastics in St. Petersburg, Fla., Feb 28. She placed third in Floor, fourth in Vault and sixth All Around. Her scores were: Floor: 9.700, Vault: 8.850, Bars:  9.257 and Beam: 8.976. Sheriff already qualified for the state meet but continues to compete. Sheriff is the granddaughter of Amy and Mark Pascarella of Bradford.
