EMPORIUM — The Cameron County girls track and field team improved to 6-1 on the season with a victory over Otto-Eldred and Sheffield at a dual meet on Monday.

The Red Raiders defeated Otto-Eldred 111-22, and Sheffield 121-5.

Kamme Guisto quadrupled for CC, winning the 100, long jump, triple jump and high jump. Guisto is fresh off of breaking two school records at the Coudersport Invitational over the weekend with distances of 14-11 in the long jump and 35-7 in the triple jump.

Eliza Farbaugh also quadrupled for the Red Raiders, taking home wins in two individual events (400 and 3200) as well as in two relays (4×100, 4×800).

“This is a very special group of girls,” Cameron County coach Shawn Bidwell said. “We have lot of underclassmen and it’s been a good mix that I’m pleased to be a part of.”

Bidwell highlighted the performance of freshman Morgan Lorenzo, who tripled with wins in the 100 hurdles, 4×100 and 4×400 relay events. Lorenzo qualified for the districts in the 100.

The Red Raiders travel to Coudersport on Wednesday in a meet that will decide the league title with both teams sitting at 6-1 on the season.

Cameron County was swept on the boys side, losing to Otto-Eldred 86-54, and Sheffield 72-65.

Jesse Bennett and Steve Langworthy tripled to lead Otto. Langworthy took home wins in the 800 (2:20), 300 hurdles (45.3) and shot put (37-5). Bennett, meanwhile, won his three events in jumps. He won the long jump (19-4.5), triple jump (41-.5) and high jump (5-10).

The loss put CC at 2-5 on the season.
