PORT ALLEGANY — Trey Stiles broke a multi-way tie for the Port Allegany boys pole vault record on Tuesday by clearing a height of 12’6”.
Stiles also earned victories in the 100, long jump, and 4×100 relay to earn a quadruple for the meet to help the Gators defeat Cameron County 80-70 and Oswayo Valley 117-26.
“He had himself a very nice meet,” Port A coach Aaron Clark said. “He did very well for himself.”
Cameron County went on to defeat Oswayo Valley 115-20.
Bryce Baker earned a triple for Port A with wins in the 200, 400, and 4×100 relay.
Nate Williams doubled for Cameron County by winning the shot put and discus, while Devin Austin had a double of his own for OV with wins in the 1,600 and 3,200.
On the girls side, Cameron County earned a pair of ‘Ws’ by topping Oswayo Valley 85-45 and Port Allegany 89-61. Port Allegany defeated Oswayo Valley 101-47.
Kamme Guisto (high jump, 300 hurdles) and Jess Dubler (discus, javelin) both doubled for Cameron County.
Sarah McKean had a quadruple for OV with wins in the 200, 4×100 relay, long jump, and triple jump. Rosie Thomas also tripled for the Lady Gators by winning 1,600, 3,200, and 4×800 relay.
Smethport sweeps Otto, NoPo
SMETHPORT — The Smethport boys and girls track teams swept Otto-Eldred and Northern Potter on Tuesday.
The Hubbers boys defeated Otto-Eldred 91-59 and Northern Potter 113-31.
Christian Tanner quadrupled for Smethport with wins in the 400, 800, 1,600, and pole vault. Dale Burdick earned a pair of wins of his own in the 100 and 200.
Otto-Eldred’s Dylan Close tripled with victories in the long jump, triple jump, and javelin.
On the girls side, Smethport defeated Northern Potter 100-31 and Otto-Eldred 87-52.
Smethport’s Hailey Wright earned a quadruple with victories in the 100, 400, 800, and 4×400 relay. Meanwhile, Reilly Raught tripled for Otto-Eldred with wins in the 200, long jump, and triple jump.
Smethport will host DuBois Central Catholic and Eisenhower on Thursday.
Coudersport rolls Sheffield
SHEFFIELD — The Falcons earned a pair of big wins on Tuesday, with the boys defeating Sheffield 99-41 and the girls winning 96-13.
Several Coudy boys earned doubles, including Derek Keglovits (400, 800), Connner Rothermel (110 hurdles, 300 hurdles), and Hunter Ricke (high jump, javelin).
Craig Prince earned a double for Sheffield with victories in the 100 and 200.
On the girls side, Dana Dubots (100, 400), Laura Rothermel (1,600, 3,200), Mikayla Gunn (long jump, triple jump), and Adrian Page (discus, javelin) all doubled for the Lady Falcons.
