Erie man waives hearing on drug charges

An Erie man waived a preliminary hearing Wednesday before District Judge Dominic Cercone on drug delivery allegations.

Alexander J. Hayes, 24, is charged with possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance, a felony; criminal use of a communication facility, a third-degree felony; and possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor.

According to court records, on March 23, on North Center Street in Bradford, Hayes delivered .76 grams of crack cocaine to a confidential informant of the McKean County Drug Task Force.

He is incarcerated in McKean County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.
