Coudy posts 3rd straight perfect NTL campaign

SHINGLEHOUSE — The Coudersport boys closed out their third consecutive 16-0 NTL campaign with a 76-35 win over Oswayo Valley on Monday.

Jared Green led the way for Coudy with a game-high 25 points, while Owen Chambers and Hunter Ricke each added 19 points of their own.

Theo Henry led Oswayo Valley with 12 points.

Coudersport (19-2) wraps up its regular season on Wednesday at St. Marys. Oswayo Valley finishes its regular season at 11-11 overall and 7-10 in NTL play.

    Smethport 49, Port Allegany 39

PORT ALLEGANY — The Hubbers were able to pull away in a low-scoring affair on Monday to improve to 9-5 in NTL play on the season.

Brandon Peterson scored a game-high 22 points to lead Smethport, while Conner Alfieri added 11 of his own.

David Talkington was the Gators’ leading scorer with 13 notches.

“Peterson came in and had quite a good game,” Port A coach Jeff Stuckey said. “We were pretty cold shooting, so him scoring 22 was pretty much the difference.

Smethport (11-9 overall) will visit Cameron County on Wednesday. Port Allegany ends its campaign at 3-19 overall and 2-14 in NTL play.

    Galeton 68, Austin 51

GALETON — The Tigers opened a very busy week by scoring an upset over the Panthers on Monday night.

Galeton was led by a 27-point night by Evan Brooks, who went 11-for-14 at the foul line. Isaiah Shuemaker (17 points) and Joel Griffen (15) also finished in double figures.

Jackson Glover and Mason Valenti led Austin with 13 and 12 points, respectively.

Galeton (7-12, 5-10) — which has to play four times this week — travels to Bucktail today.

Despite the loss, Austin completes its most successful regular season in years, finishing 13-9 overall and 8-9 in league play.

    NON-LEAGUE

    Ridgway 30, Cameron County 17

RIDGWAY — The Elkers won a slog of a game to move within one win of a perfect regular season, topping the Red Raiders in Monday’s non-league game.

Andy Breier paced Ridgway with 14 points, while Neil MacDonald finished with 10.

Adam Shaffer led Cameron County with six points.

Ridgway (21-0) will host Sheffield on Tuesday before beginning postseason play. Cameron County (15-5) hosts Smethport on Wednesday.

    Genesee Valley (N.Y.) 67, Otto-Eldred 55

BELMONT, N.Y. — A slow start to the game led the Terrors to fall in a cross-state contest on Monday.

Sawyer Drummond led Otto with a team-high 16 points.

Noah Windus paced the Jaguars with 27 points, while Cody Snyder (15), Evan Windus (13), and Josh McGuire (12) all finished in double figures.

The Terrors (14-7) wrap up their regular season today when they visit Northern Potter.
