Lady Owls can’t hold on against DuBois

DUBOIS — A nice pair of offensive showings from Hannah Lary and Erica Marshall wasn’t enough for the Bradford girls to overcome DuBois, as the Lady Owls fell on Tuesday 62-53.

Lary led Bradford with 23 points, while Erica Marshall notched 15 markers.

“Hannah and Erica both shot extremely well,” BHS coach Bob Hannon said. “They scored 38 of our 53 points. We also got a nice effort out of Kate Huber who played well as a starter. The girls fought hard. We’ve just got to try to string some of these good efforts into wins. They played hard tonight. They shouldn’t hang their heads.”

Ashley Hollowell led DuBois (14-5 overall, 6-3 D9 League) with a game-high 25 points, while Olivia Johnson (14) and Chelsea Desalve (13) also finished in double figures.

Bradford (2-17 overall, 0-7 D9 League) will host Brookville on Friday.
