NTL: Cam County downs NoPo; Hubs, PA, Coudy also win

ULYSSES — Alyvia McKimm led Cameron County with 16 points, and the Red Raiders moved into third place in the NTL standings with a 50-39 win over Northern Potter on Thursday.

Amily Schatz was also in double-figures with 11 points, and helped Cameron County to a 14-point fourth quarter to seal the victory.

The Raiders (6-10 overall, 6-4 NTL) have picked up all of their wins in the NTL this season, and have now won four of their last five games. Cameron County hosts Galeton next on Monday.

Northern Potter (8-4 overall, 5-3 NTL) were led by Mikayla Lewis with 14 points. The Panthers will look to get back in the win column Saturday against Williamson.

    Smethport 54, Austin 31

SMETHPORT — The Lady Hubbers rode a 17-2 first quarter en route to a 54-27 NTL victory that snapped a three-game losing skid.

Abbey Woodard hit 10 field goals, and had a game-high 25 points to lead Smethport. The Lady Hubbers played a disciplined game as well, committing only six fouls and not allowing Austin to attempt a single free-throw for the game.

The Lady Panthers, meanwhile, were led by eight points from Julia Latimore. Austin fell to 0-13 and 0-9 in NTL play for the season.

The Lady Hubbers (5-9 overall, 4-6 NTL) host Otto-Eldred on Monday night.

Port Allegany 54, Oswayo Valley 43

PORT ALLEGANY — The Gators scored 34 first-half points and withheld an Oswayo Valley to pick up their fourth NTL win over the season.

Cailey Barnett and Bree Garzel were each in double figures, with 19 and 14 points, respectively.

Each team got into foul trouble in the second half, as four players fouled out and the teams committed 45 total fouls.

The Green Wave were paced by Shayla Bickel, who had 19 points.

Port Allegany (5-10 overall, 4-6 NTL) is off until next Wednesday against Northern Potter. Oswayo Valley (5-10 overall, 1-8 NTL) will look to snap its six-game losing streak against that same Northern Potter team on Monday.

    Coudersport 87, Galeton 41

GALETON — The Lady Falcons remained undefeated in the NTL with a domininat road win over Galeton.

Haley Keck hit seven three-pointers and finished with 31 points for Coudy. Shaelyn Black had an impressive statline as well, picking up 14 rebounds to go with her 26 points.

Coudersport has now won 13 consecutive games, winning 10 of those games by at least 30 points.

The Falcons (13-2 overall, 9-0 NTL) host Otto-Eldred (13-1 overall, 8-0 NTL) on Saturday night in a matchup between the two top teams in the NTL.
