    Brown, Cam County outlast Stuckey, Gators in shootout

    PORT ALLEGANY — It was a good old-fashioned shootout in the North Tier League on Wednesday, as Cameron County defeated Port Allegany 74-60.

    Marcus Brown’s 31 points and 11 rebounds for Cameron County were enough to top Howie Stuckey’s 33 points for Port Allegany in a game that saw the two sides combine for 19 3-pointers (Brown made nine treys, while Stuckey hit five).

    Adam Shaffer also had a big game for the Red Raiders, notching 20 points and nine rebounds.

    For Port Allegany, both Jordan Card (12 points) and David Talkington (10 points) finished in double figures.

    Cameron County (11-2 overall, 9-1 NTL) hosts Northern Potter on Friday, while Port Allegany (2-12 overall, 1-8 NTL) visits Oswayo Valley on Friday.

     

    Coudersport 69, Northern Potter 28

    ULYSSES — The Falcons made a whopping 12 3-pointers on Wednesday to cruise to a big league victory on the road.

    Six different Coudy players made shots from long-range, with Owen Chambers leading the way with 22 points. Jared Green (17 points) and Derek Keglovits (10 points) also finished in double figures for the Falcons.

    Tristan Byron led the Panthers with 10 points.

    Coudersport (12-1 overall, 10-0 NTL) hosts Galeton on Friday, while Northern Potter (0-14 overall, 0-10 NTL) visits Cameron County.

     

    Otto-Eldred 68, Austin 45

    AUSTIN — The Terrors rolled past the Panthers on Wednesday thanks to 10 3-pointers to move above .500 in league play on the season (5-4).

    Jordan Sherwood led Otto with 19 points thanks to five made 3-pointers, while Trey Dalton (16 points) and Sawyer Drummond (11 points) also contributed to the victory.

    Dempsey Glover led Austin with 19 points.

    Otto-Eldred (8-5 overall, 5-4 NTL) hosts Bradford on Friday. Austin (8-5 overall, 3-5 NTL) visits Smethport on Friday.
