SMETHPORT — A Bradford woman received a term in McKean County Jail Thursday in a drug delivery case.
Mary F. Borza, 45, was sentenced in McKean County Court to 90 days to 11½ months in jail with credit for 92 days of time served, as well as a one-year term of probation for a charge of conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance.
Borza pleaded guilty Dec. 28 to allegations that on Oct. 4 she conspired with Tarence Brown for one of them to deliver about 1 gram of crack cocaine.
Also in court, Cayla P. Stoddard, 26, was sentenced to 30 days to 23½ months in the county jail, while her sister, Cori L. Stoddard, 28, of Bradford, was sentenced to 15 days to 23½ months in jail for charges stemming from a fight that involved several people. Both women pleaded guilty Nov. 30 to charges of simple assault and disorderly conduct for allegations that on Dec. 18, 2016, at the Country Fair convenience store, they took part in a physical altercation in front of the register in which a man was kicked and suffered face, head and eye injuries, and there was damage to store merchandise. All convicted defendants in the incident will be responsible to collectively pay $54.31 in restitution for candy that had blood on it.
Joshua C. Isaman, 33, of Bradford, will serve 60 days to 18 months in the county jail for a charge of simple assault. On Dec. 28, Isaman pleaded guilty to allegations that on Nov. 6, he hurt a 5-year-old; the next day, the side of the child’s face was red when he was seen at Bradford Regional Medical Center.
Luke Wolfe, 19, of Kane, will serve 18 months of probation and pay $650 in restitution for a charge of access device fraud. Wolfe pleaded guilty Dec. 14 to allegations that between July 8-14, Wolfe took $650 from someone.
Christopher R. Yohe, 27, of Bradford, will serve one year of probation for charges of criminal attempted theft by deception and criminal solicitation-false/fraudulent/incomplete insurance claim. On Dec. 14, Yohe pleaded guilty to allegations that around 11:30 a.m. Feb. 9 he was in two-vehicle accident; he did not have insurance, so he obtained insurance later that day and asked the other motorist to lie about the date of the crash. Yohe also provided false information to Safe Auto insurance company, which denied the $6,000 claim.
Joseph D. Godfrey, 27, of Bradford, will serve one year of probation and pay $49.99 in restitution for a charge of theft by unlawful taking. On Nov. 30, Godfrey pleaded guilty to allegations that on July 24, he took a personal check valued at $49.99.
Thomas Whelan, 58, of Bradford, will serve six months in the Intermediate Punishment Program for charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and a summary charge.
