If one family name is synonymous with gospel music it just might be the name Hinson.
National southern gospel recording artists the Hinson Family will be performing at Eldred’s First Church of God at 7 p.m. on Saturday, and again at 6 p.m. on Sunday at Hilltop Baptist Church in Gifford.
On Sunday at Hilltop Baptist Church, local favorites Crown and the Barr Family will open for the Hinson Family. These concerts are free of charge and open to the public.
The Hinson Family consists of Weston Hinson, his wife Christy, and their daughter, Jordy. Together they carry on the family legacy of the Hinsons.
On Sept. 29, the Hinson family released their 6th album entitled The Light Just Came On and the sky seems to be the limit with this incarnation of the Hinson Family as they display even more variety of talent and musical prowess.
