Assault charges against Lewis Run man withdrawn

SMETHPORT — Assault charges that were filed against a Lewis Run man in 2016 have been withdrawn.

Joseph L. Askins, 31, was accused of striking another man with his car in the parking lot of the Rixford Well bar, but the Commonwealth will no longer be pursuing the case.

Attorney Justin Ketchel represented Askins.
