PORT ALLEGANY — S.W. Smith Memorial Public Library in Port Allegany is collecting non-perishable food items to be donated to local food pantries.

For each non-perishable food item donated between Dec. 4-10, $1 will be deducted from the donor’s library fine. Patrons without fines may also donate food to help a child patron pay down his or her fine.
