The United Way of the Bradford Area recently disbursed more than $6,000 to local organizations through the fourth quarter Community Impact grants.
Receiving funds were the Bradford Ecumenical Home Inc. – Veterans’ Day Tribute; CARE for Children – safety supplies; Dickinson Center Inc. – holiday activities; Habitat for Humanity – new home build; McKean County Conservation District – “My Growing Tree” program; and The Salvation Army – utility assistance.
The next deadline for applications to be received is Jan. 1, 2017. Community Impact and Community Innovations applications may be received by visiting United Way’s website at www.uwbanews.org, the United Way office, or by request at admin@uwbanews.org. Along with the application, it is being requested of applicants that a detailed budget of planned expenditures be included.
All applications are reviewed by a committee comprised of United Way board members, with recommendations being presented to the full board for final approval.
