BUFFALO, N.Y. — Roswell Park Cancer Institute leader Donald Trump will step down from his post at the end of this year.
The announcement was made by Roswell Park board of directors chairman Michael Joseph.
Trump, president and chief executive officer of Roswell Park, has served in that role for the past seven years.
Joseph said Trump paved the way for Roswell Park’s continued success.
Among the accomplishments that have taken place under Trump include an expansion of the footprint of the facility and continued focus on quality of care.
A national search will be conducted to find Trump’s replacement. There is no set date for a replacement to be found.
Many residents from Bradford, Pa., and the surrounding region have been patients at Roswell Park over the years.
