GIRLS TRACK: Bradford dominates Brookville 119-31

BROOKVILLE — The Bradford High Lady Owls’ track and field team dominated Brookville 119-31 Wednesday.

Ali Rinfrette quadrupled (100 hurdles, 300 hurdles, 1600 relay, long jump) for the Lady Owls (3-0).

Liz Coppella (pole vault, triple jump, 400 relay), Makaila Banka (800, 1600, 3200 relay) and Bri Wells (200, 400 relay, 1600 relay) tripled.

Double winners were Kristen Gardner (3200 relay, 400), Haley Vinelli (1600 relay, 400 relay) and Ann Confer (high jump, 400 relay).

“Our throwers had their best day of the season,” Bradford coach Larry Stillman said. “Laura Black won the shot put. Payton Ambrose was second in the shot put and second in the javelin (96’10’’, personal best).

“Chelsea Madore threw well in the javelin (98’6’’) and was second in the discus with a very good throw.

“Our jumpers were solid. Ali and Ann tied for first in the long jump. Ali won it on the second jump.”

In the pole vault, Brooke McGriff was third (8’3’’), improving by nine inches.

“Our sprinters looked good,” Stillman added. “Gardner had a good 400 and got nice support from Courtney Shade and Morgan Roggenbaum, taking second and third.

“Angel Hutchings won her first event, taking the 3200 run (14:37). Riley Crissman and Makaila Banka ran well in the 1600 and 800 runs.”

In the 3200 run, Ashly Colosimo finished second. Catherine Schuster had a personal best throw of 78’ in the discus for third place.

“Bri Wells looked good again in winning the 200 dash,” Stillman noted. “Ali had a nice, solid day.”

Bradford will host DuBois on April 22.
