Emporium used a 28-hit attack en route to a 27-11 win over
Austin in Alle-Catt Baseball League action Saturday.
Ryan Bresslin earned the mound win. He pitched six innings, gave
up eight hits, while striking out three and walking two. Cameron
Clingan pitched in relief, allowing seven hits and whiffing
one.
Garrett Hornung (home run), Drew Tompkins (home run), Rick Uber
(two home runs), Ralph McKimm (two home runs), Paul Baker (home
run) and Clingan (two home runs) led Emporium.
Kyle Dynda took the loss with relief help from K. Duffy, Kyle
Gledhill and Kevin Gledhill. Austin had 15 hits. Kevin Gledhill
(three home runs including a grand slam) led Austin.
In other action, Olean AOH beat Crosby 9-0.
On Sunday, Kane topped Emporium 12-5.
Steve Tunall earned the mound win, whiffing five, giving up 15
hits and walking two.
McKimm, Jordan Crane and Hornung and Baker pitched for Emporium.
The trio gave up 10 hits, fanned six and walked 12.
Mike Marconi, Rob Nelson and J. Royer had two singles each for
Kane.
Tompkins (double), McKimm (two doubles) and Bresslin (double)
led Emporium.
Port Allegany beat Ludlow 18-1, Austin shut out Crosby 9-0 and
Olean AOH dumped the Olean Royals 17-3.
