Sunday at Frostburg, Md.
The Lady Panthers won 1-0 in the first game and notched an 8-0
five-inning win in the nightcap.

consecutive games.

three-hitter, fanning one and walking none.

scored the game’s only run on an error.
Mallory Kane fired a one-hitter in the second game.
Michelle Kushner (2-for-2, 3 RBIs, double), McLean (two doubles,

“Mallory pitched really well,” UPB coach Tina Phillips said.
“The defense was great. The kids are playing well.”
On Saturday, Pitt-Bradford posted wins of 7-2, 6-0 against
Pitt-Greensburg at Kessel Field.
Zavinski was the star of the first game as the junior
right-hander from Warren allowed no earned runs over seven innings
and was 4-for-4 with an RBI at the plate.
“She (Zavinski) is a good contact hitter and on the mound she
was effective as usual,” said Phillips.
The Lady Panthers broke open a 2-1 contest in the fifth when
McLean’s sixth home run of the year plated three runs.
Kane earned the mound win in the second game. Kane had a
four-hit, nine-strikeout performance.
“Mallory (Kane) pitched well,” Phillips stated. “We played well
in both games.”
Pitt-Bradford scored one run in the third, one in the fourth,
two in the fifth and another pair in the sixth. A suicide squeeze
by LeeAnn Kramer in the third, an RBI triple by McLean in the fifth
and a run-producing single from Nicole Fries in the sixth were the
key blows.
