Bradford man accused of pointing rifle at person

A Bradford man is in McKean County Jail after he allegedly pointed a loaded rifle at a female during an argument.

Tyler W. Bedard, 35, was arraigned Sunday night before District Judge Richard Luther on charges of terroristic threats, a first-degree misdemeanor; simple assault, a second-degree misdemeanor; and summary harassment.

According to court records, at 5:05 p.m. Sunday, Lewis Run-based state troopers were dispatched to a domestic dispute in Corydon Township; while police were en route to the scene, dispatch informed officers that Bedard had left the scene in a pick-up truck with four children.

Bradford City Police located the truck on Seaward Avenue, the complaint stated.

Through investigation, police learned that during an argument between Bedard and a female, Bedard pointed a loaded AR-15-style rifle at her and threatened to shoot her; also, he pushed her at one point, the complaint alleged.

Bedard is incarcerated in lieu of $15,000 bail, and a preliminary hearing is set for Wednesday.
