The Borough of Kane, PA is currently looking for

qualified candidates to assume the position of

SRO (Student Resource Officer). This position is

designed to accept retired or current law enforcement

individuals that currently possess Act 120 certification.

The position is part-time work for the Kane Borough

Police Department. If not SRO certified, that training

will be provided by the Borough of Kane. The selected

candidate will be assigned primarily to the Kane

Area School District during the designated Elementary,

Middle and High School calendar year.

Duties include, but are not limited to, campus patrol and

monitoring, classroom visits and presentations,

report writing, conflict intervention, traffic control,

emergency officer, threat assessment, student counseling,

and/or enforcement. All while building trust and

fostering positive relations with students and staff.
