NOTICE TO ABATE PUBLIC NUISANCE
40 Poplin Ave., City of Bradford, McKean County, Pennsylvania
On April 15, 2025, the Board of Health determined the property located at 40 Poplin Ave., Bradford, Pennsylvania 16701 is a public nuisance as defined by 11 Pa.C.S. § 12300.
The Board found the property is a public nuisance because: 1. It attracts vectors (animals and insects); 2) It is dangerous; 3) It is a fire hazard; and 4) It is not maintained in a way that it complies with the Property Maintenance Ordinance. Kathleen Miller has been identified as the owner of the property by virtue of a search of the City’s real estate registry or the County’s assessment records.
Pursuant to 11 Pa.C.S. § 127A04, the City of Bradford intends to abate 40 Poplin Ave., Bradford, Pennsylvania 16701 and has notified all lienholders on record with the Recorder of Deeds, McKean County Courthouse of its intent to abate. Any party holding an interest in the property may abate the public nuisance themselves, appeal the Board of Health’s findings, or
request a stay of execution, modification or rescission of the Order, provided said request is submitted to the Board of Health within 30 days of the publication date of this notice. If no such requests or appeals are received by the Board of Health, the public nuisance shall be abated by the City of Bradford at the expense of the owner pursuant to § 127A04(d).
