PUBLIC PARTICIPATION PLAN AVAILABLE FOR PUBLIC COMMENT

The North Central Pennsylvania Regional Planning &

Development Commission and the Rural Transportation

Planning Committee hereby provide notice of a 45-day public

review and comment period for the Draft Public Participation

Plan (PPP).

The Public Participation Plan establishes the procedures used

by North Central and the Rural Transportation Planning

Committee to provide the public, local governments,

transportation providers, interested organizations, and other

stakeholders with meaningful opportunities to participate in the

regional transportation planning and decision-making process.

The official 45-day public comment period will be from

August 19 through October 3, 2026.

The Draft Public Participation Plan is available for public

review on the North Central website, at the locations listed

below, or by calling North Central at

Public comments on the Draft Public Participation Plan must be submitted in writing, either online or by mail, prior to the close of the public comment period. All comments must be

received no later than 4:00 p.m. on October 3, 2026.

Following consideration of comments received during the

45-day public comment period, the Rural Transportation

Planning Committee is scheduled to consider adoption of the Public Participation Plan at its public meeting on Tuesday,

October 13, 2026.
