About the District:
Nestled in the scenic hills and forests of Potter County, the
Coudersport Area School District serves a close-knit rural
community where schools are truly the heart of the region.
Covering more than 200 square miles, the district educates
approximately 675 students in grades K–12. The area is
known for its natural beauty, safe environment, and abundant
outdoor recreation, including hunting, fishing, hiking, and
stargazing under some of the darkest skies in the eastern
United States. Families and educators alike value the balance
of a supportive small-town atmosphere with access to
year-round outdoor adventure.
Position Summary:
The Coudersport Area School District is seeking an energetic,
compassionate, and visionary educational leader with a deep
appreciation for the strengths and challenges of rural
education to serve as Superintendent of Schools. The
successful candidate will be a strong advocate for rural
students, dedicated to student achievement, staff development,
and community partnerships. This is an opportunity to lead in
a district where education, community, and the natural
environment are tightly woven together.
Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in education, Educational Leadership, or
related field
• Pennsylvania Superintendent Letter of Eligibility (or ability
to obtain)
• Minimum of 5 years of successful administrative experience
Salary and Benefits:
Salary and benefits will be regionally competitive based on
education, training, experience, qualifications and meeting
board criteria.
