Invitation for Bids

Clara Township will be accepting bids for limestone driving surface aggregate (DSA) delivery and placement on Raven Hill Road totaling 5,300 feet in length and approximately 2,600 tons.

Motor-paver placement must be utilized in a single pass. Minimum 10-ton vibratory roller is required for compaction. Contractor is required to pay prevailing wage rates. Construction must be completed by September 1st, 2026 to avoid penalties. Bid packages can be obtained at a mandatory site showing on February 17, 2026 at 1:00 pm. Meeting place will be the Roulette/Clara Township line on Raven Hill Road, approximate coordinates are 41.81723, – 78.102886.

Sealed bids must be delivered by mail or hand delivery to Clara Township, 566 Clara Road, Shinglehouse, PA 16748 clearly marked “DSA Bid” by 6:00pm on Tuesday, March 10, 2026. Bids will be opened March 10, 2026 at 6:00 pm at Clara Township building, 566 Clara Road, Shinglehouse, PA 16748. Any bids received after 6:00 pm on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 will be rejected. Clara Township reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
