LINCOLN DRIVE BRIDGE ABUTMENT

REHABILITATION PROJECT

LEWIS RUN BOROUGH, MCKEAN COUNTY,

PENNSYLVANIA

Sealed bids for the Lincoln Drive Bridge Abutment Rehabilitation project consisting mainly of demolition and disposal of the existing spalled concrete areas, demolition of a wingwall, installation of a new full 4” reinforced concrete face lift on one abutment, repair of multiple spalled areas on the other abutment including a full face finish, replacement of guide railing, and bank restoration being comprised of the installation of riprap will be received by the Lewis Run Borough Officials, McKean County, Pennsylvania, until 4:00 pm, on May 13, 2025, at the Lewis Run Borough Office located at 60 Main St., P.O. Box 265, Lewis Run, PA 16738. The bids will be publicly opened and read at the Lewis Run Borough meeting at 7:00 pm on May 13, 2025 at the above-mentioned location.

Bids should be sealed and clearly marked “Sealed Bids for the Lincoln Bridge Abutment Rehabilitation Project”.

Plans, specifications, and bid forms may be examined at the office of the E & M Engineers and Surveyors, P.C., 24 Derrick Road, Bradford, PA 16701.

Copies of specifications and bid forms may be obtained from the office of E & M Engineers and Surveyors, P.C., for a non-refundable price of $50.00 payable to the Lewis Run Borough. There will be a $25 postage fee payable to E & M Engineers and Surveyors, P.C. for mailing bidding documents. Addenda, if any, will be issued to only those persons whose name and address are on record with the owner as having obtained the bidding documents.

A pre-bid meeting will be held on April 28, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. The meeting location will be at the project site just east of the intersection of Lincoln Drive and J F Kennedy Drive. All Bidders are encouraged to attend, and shall notify E & M if they plan to obtain specifications and bid forms at the meeting at 814-362-5546.

A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the Lewis Run Borough or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total of the Bid shall be submitted with each bid. A performance bond and payment bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100 %) of the contract as awarded will be required as security for faithful performance of the contract.

The successful contractor will be required to comply with all applicable prevailing wage rates, and the contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or handicap.

Proposals must be submitted on the forms prescribed. The Owner reserves the right, as its interests may require, to reject any and all proposals or waive any

formalities or

technicalities.
