LAFAYETTE TOWNSHIP, MCKEAN COUNTY,

PENNSYLVANIA

Sealed bids for the 2026 Taintor Drive Improvement & Culvert Replacement Project will be received by the Lafayette Township Supervisors until 10:00 a.m., on, June 25, 2026, at the Lafayette Township Office located at 7534 Route 59, Lewis Run, PA 16738. The bids will be publicly opened and read during the meeting to begin at this time.

Bids should be sealed and clearly marked “Sealed Bids for the 2026 Taintor Drive Improvement & Culvert Replacement Project”.

Plans, specifications, and bid forms may be examined at the office of E & M Engineers and Surveyors, P.C., 24 Derrick Road, Bradford, PA 16701.

Copies of specifications and bid forms may be obtained from the office of E & M Engineers and Surveyors, P.C., for a non-refundable price of $50.00 payable to the Lafayette Township Supervisors. There will be a $15 postage fee payable to E & M Engineers and Surveyors, P.C. for mailing bidding documents. Addenda, if any, will be issued to only those persons whose name and address are on record with the owner as having obtained the bidding documents.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at the project site on June 16, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. All Bidders are required to attend.

A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the Lafayette Township Supervisors or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total of the Bid shall be submitted with each bid. A performance bond and payment bond in the amount of 100 percent (100%) of the contract as awarded will be required as security for faithful performance of the contract.

The successful contractor will be required to comply with all applicable prevailing wage rates, and the contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or handicap.

Proposals must be submitted on the forms prescribed. The Owner reserves the right, as its interests may require, to reject any and all proposals or waive any formalities or technicalities.
