UPB women fall to Buffalo State, 71-57

Despite a season-high 16 points from Shirleah Ragin, the Pitt-Bradford women’s basketball team fell to Buffalo State in non-conference play, 71-57.

Ragin led the Panthers (2-8) with her 16 points, and also pulled down nine rebounds and recorded five assists.

Shaelyn Snipes picked up her third double-double of the season for UPB with 10 points and 11 rebounds, and added five assists and six steals. Jenna Hicks scored six points and hauled in 12 boards.

The Panthers outrebounded BSC, 48-38.

Buffalo State (4-3) was led by Katie Villarini’s 20 points and Liv Lebaron’s 19. Tori Hackett added eight points and a team-high 14 rebounds for the Bengals.

UPB is off until Jan. 4, when the Panthers host Pitt-Greensburg at 4 o’clock.
