ROULETTE — Addison “AJ” Cimino is heading to the ranch.
Cimino, a six-year-old from Roulette, has been riding dirt bikes since the age of two. He started racing competitively at four years old before winning the oil injected class at the 2020 Empire State series and the 2021 Arenacross series at Switchback Motocross in Butler.
On June 13, Cimino achieved his goal of qualifying for the Monster Energy AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship, held annually on country music legend Loretta Lynn’s family ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee.
The event, known as the world’s largest amateur motocross race, will feature 40 riders in Cimino’s age group and 50cc division. A fourth place overall finish at the Northeast regional qualifier at Pleasure Valley Raceway secured Cimino’s spot at nationals from August 2-7.
