For those willing to travel a bit, familiar faces in NASCAR will
be visiting a Pennsylvania track other than Watkins Glen today.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. will be appearing at Lake Erie Speedway,
along with Kenny Wallace, Kenny Schrader and two other NASCAR
Nextel Cup drivers. The group will arrive at 6:30 p.m. for a press
conference, hold an autograph session for fans (guaranteed 60
minute session for each NASCAR Nextel Cup driver) and take part in
two 10-lap races, with Earnhardt as the flagman for both.
The front gate grandstands will open up at 2 p.m. Tickets for
the event will be ,40 at the speedway. The event will take place
rain or shine.
McKean County Raceway remains dark today due to the county
fair.
In New York State, Holland Speedway will be running a full card,
highlighted by the Debbie Graff Memorial Cup Lites 100.
Pit gates open at 3 p.m. today, with grandstands opening at 4:15
p.m. and racing has been moved up to start at 6 p.m.
Sunday is Driver Autograph Night for the mini, street, pure and
charger classes at Allegheny Mountain Raceway.
The Zook Motor Pure Stocks special will highlight the night’s
racing, with the minis, streets and chargers also taking to the
oval.
