COUDERSPORT — Dr. Tod Twichell, DDS, has joined the newly-renovated Ryan Family Dental Center in Coudersport.
Twichell will begin accepting patients today. The Dental Center, a joint enterprise by Cole Memorial Hospital and Cole Memorial Dentistry, is located at 438 E. Second St.
Twichell joins Cole’s current dental providers: Dr. Victor Brown, DMD, located on Eighth Street in Coudersport; and public health dental hygienist Beth Pantuso of the Coudersport pediatrics office.
After receiving a bachelor of science degree from Hobart College in Geneva, N.Y., Twichell completed his doctorate of dental surgery at Case Western Reserve University’s School of Dentistry in Cleveland, Ohio. He completed a general practice residency at Erie County Medical Center (ECMC) in Buffalo, N.Y.
Twichell brings more than 25 years of dental experience from a private practice in Brockport, N.Y., as well as his recent work at a dental clinic in Maine. He is a member of the American Dental Association.
“We are very pleased to announce that Dr. Tod Twichell is accepting new patients in Coudersport at the former Pete Ryan dental practice,” said Regional Rural Health Center Director Susan Pascarella. “His extensive experience and high-quality dental care will be a good addition to the community.”
As a result of Cole Memorial’s past Community Health Needs Assessment goal to address the shortage of dental care in the region, a dental collaborative was formed consisting of various people throughout the region, including dentists Shane Blake, Victor Brown and Pete Ryan. The group assisted with creating a dental services plan to address these needs.
The Cole Memorial Dentistry staff provides general dentistry. Their highly-skilled dental experts use advanced technology and digital x-ray equipment to perform these services. Children’s dental services will continue to be offered by Cole’s Pediatrics Department at 814-274-9198.
Cole Memorial Dentistry accepts all major insurance plans including Medicare and offers patients without insurance affordable payment options. Major credit cards are also accepted.
