KANE — District Attorney Stephanie L. Vettenburg-Shaffer reports that the Kane Borough Police Department is investigating a report of a shooting that occurred on March 3, 2022 on North Fraley Street in Kane.

Police were dispatched for a report of an accidental shooting and responded to find a male had been shot at the residence. He was treated by paramedics on-scene and flown to an out-of-area hospital.

Kane Borough Police Department was assisted by Pennsylvania State Police, Forensic Services Division of the State Police, District Attorney and Chief County Detective.

The investigation continued overnight and remains ongoing.
