A Rixford man was arraigned Wednesday on drug-related allegations.
Nathan Brown, 20, was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, a felony; possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor; and disorderly conduct, a summary offense.
According to the criminal complaint, at 12:21 a.m. Oct. 6, a state trooper was dispatched to a residence at 1350 Looker Mountain Trail, Lot 23, in Otto Township, for a noise complaint. When the trooper arrived, he heard loud music coming from the residence. He knocked on the door for several minutes with no results. Another trooper went around the side of the residence to see if there was another door. However, he saw through the window several men were weighing a Ziploc bag filled with apparent marijuana on a scale. Eventually, someone answered the door, and the trooper noted a strong smell of marijuana coming from the residence.
All occupants of the house were asked to go outside to speak to the troopers. The occupants gave permission for troopers to search the residence. Inside, police found 746.1 grams of green marijuana along with bulk plastic bags, 172 THC dab containers, 6 THC dab containers with THC wax residue, multiple digital scales, grinders, smoking devices, a burnt marijuana cigarette and several other items of paraphernalia, the complaint stated.
Brown was arraigned before District Judge Rich Luther and committed to McKean County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Jan. 12.
