Bradford Ecumenical Home is “bringing the outside in” by infusing fine art with technology.
With the recent purchase of the Sky Factory eScape, a digital cinema virtual window that brings the dynamic beauty of nature—image, motion and sound — to interior environment, residents are able to visually engage with the comforting influence of nature.
The eScape is used to enrich the interior environment with a goal of fusing fine art, cutting-edge design, and changing visual and auditory experience. Images of nature have proven to transform human physiology — from stress and anxiety to the inner stability and calm associated with the relaxation response.
EScape images are typically more than an hour (even eight hours), while holding attention and delivering continuity as the observer comes and goes. In most cases, the images are accompanied by the authentic ambient sounds of nature. Sequences include tropical ocean views with dramatic surf, sunrise and sunsets from around the world, waterfalls, rivers, lakes, and wildlife from an ever-growing library of footage.
