The Emergency Prescription program, now administered by Destinations Bradford, is in its 25th year. The community has helped to raise over $115,000 for the program and has screened and helped over 800 applicants.

The program, which was started in 1997, helps residents of McKean County who need a prescription in an emergency situation or who have a life-sustaining medical need and are unable to afford the medication.

Destinations-Bradford, 1 Main Street Bradford, screens applicants and assists them in finding permanent prescription programs for their needs. The hours are 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday. They can also be reached through Facebook messenger or by calling 814-331-4551.

The Bradford United Methodist Cluster funds the administrative costs. The total contribution of those who wish to donate go to the Prescription Fund to help those in need.

Donations can be mailed to Pastor Barbara Moore, Hill Memorial V.M. Church, 44 Kennedy Street, Bradford, PA 16701.

Anyone with questions can call 814-598-7129.
