All four local counties remain at high rates of transmission for COVID-19, according to the Centers for Disease Control.

The Pennsylvania Department of Health said that as of Wednesday, McKean County had 22 additional cases of COVID for a total of 7,860. There have been 131 COVID-related deaths in the county to date. There have been 4,391 county residents who are partially vaccinated, 17,465 who are fully covered, and 7,024 who received a booster dose.

The positivity rate for the county was 24.9%, with 156 fewer confirmed cases between Jan. 28 to Feb. 3 as compared to Jan. 21 to 27.

Elk County had 16 new cases for a total of 6,914. There have been 90 deaths from COVID in the county. There have been 1,795 county residents who have been partially vaccinated, 16,292 who are fully covered and 7,891 who received a booster dose.

The positivity rate for the county was 26.3%, with 44 fewer confirmed cases in the most recent time frame as compared to Jan. 21 to 27.

Potter County had six additional cases for a total of 3,033. There have been 88 deaths from COVID in the county to date. There have been 1,266 county residents who are partially vaccinated, 5,920 who are fully covered and 2,520 who have received a booster dose.

The positivity rate for the county was 26.2%, with 44 fewer new cases as compared to the prior time frame.

Cameron County had nine additional cases for a total of 798. There have been 19 COVID-related deaths in the county. As for vaccines, there have been 236 county residents partially vaccinated, 2,404 fully vaccinated and 1,198 who have received a booster. The county’s positivity rate was 36.7%, with ten fewer new cases as compared to the prior time frame.
