The May 29 shooting of a Buffalo, N.Y., man on Congress Street in Bradford remains under investigation.
On Monday, District Attorney Stephanie Vettenburg-Shaffer said investigators are awaiting the results of some evidence, including some information provided by members of the public.
“Information provided includes audio and video evidence that is being digitally enhanced at an off-site location,” she said last week. “This information is critical to the investigation and we are grateful to the community for the assistance.”
Anyone with information is asked to call the City of Bradford Police at (814) 887-4911.
Around 3 a.m. May 29, Bradford City Police responded to 166 Congress St. for a gunshot victim. Edward Fomby, age 38, of Buffalo, was found deceased with apparent gunshot wounds. Reports of an argument, including threats, between the deceased and a male resident of the home are being investigated by police along with the physical evidence.
Shaffer had said that the resident of the home fired “what was described as ‘warning shots’” and then shot at Fomby. Neither she nor police have released the name of the shooter.
