A bomb threat prompted the evacuation of the Walmart Supercenter in Fox Township, Elk County, on the afternoon of Black Friday.

Ridgway-based state police said at about 1:55 p.m. Friday an unknown suspect called in a bomb threat to the Walmart store at 1102 Million Dollar Highway.

The store was evacuated and closed while authorities investigated. An area news TV station reported that firefighters blocked off the entrance to Walmart and bomb-sniffing dogs were called in.

Police say the investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information should call the state police at 814-776-6136.
