May programs set at Bradford Area Public Library

The month of May may be winding down, but there is still plenty to do at the Bradford Library. Representatives from Northwest Bank will be on hand to share valuable and timely information on identity fraud with the public on Tuesday, May 17 at 1 p.m. During the Identity Fraud program, attendees will learn how to protect their information, money, and self against potential scams and fraudulent activities. This is a free in-person program that does not require registration.

The popular crafting program Copycat is returning to the library on Wednesday, May 18 at 6 p.m. Janelle Nolan will demonstrate the art of weaving a denim basket. All materials are supplied for this free program that does require registration. Currently the program has reached its allotted capacity and interested individuals can be placed on a waiting list.

On Saturday, May 21 at 11 a.m. the library is hosting a Womens Summer Skin Care program. Attendees of this program will receive important information and tips from Pitt Bradford Assistant Professor of Nursing Mary Dinger. Afterwards participants can enjoy light refreshments and peruse skin care products from Rodan and Fields representative Kathryn Kloss. And delight in numerous summer accessories that proprietor Kristina Luzzi will have available from Small Town Girl Boutique. Library volunteer Marie Troskosky has been instrumental in organizing this special program. “The program is part of a series of programs we are planning in order to bring women of all ages together to share and get information that is of particular interest to women,” said Troskosky.

Rounding out the month is Trivia Night on Monday, May 23 at 6 p.m., and BYO-Book on Wednesday, May 25 at 6:30 p.m. BYO-Book is a newly formed book club for adults 19 years of age and older. Participants are encouraged to read what they like and will discuss Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Murder Mayhem, and Historical Fiction. Members will bring what they enjoy and share it with others in this totally informal club.
