Is Barack Obama dating Jennifer Aniston?

(TNS) — Barack Obama, Michelle Obama and Jennifer Aniston is the rumor that just won’t die, and if you don’t know what that rumor is … good for you.

That means you probably don’t invest a ton of time on social media, and these days that is not such a bad thing. But if you do frequent social media, particularly Elon Musk’s X platform, you probably already know a little about where this is going.

And it is going there, again this week, because Michelle Obama and her new podcast is in the news. She reportedly talks about her marriage on that podcast, and, well, that has folks talking about her marriage again, too, particularly the rumors that she and former president, Barack Obama, are on their way to splitting up. The other half of that rumor, of course, is that the former president is set to leave Michelle because he has been in a relationship with Aniston.

It is a rumor that was born more than a year ago and has popped up again from time-to-time since. Thus far, and this can’t be stressed enough, there is no evidence to support that there is any truth at all to it.

In fact, Aniston was asked about it during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel’s show last fall, and she denied it.

Per PEOPLE Magazine, she was shown headlines on the show that included “The Truth About Jen & Barack,” which also said that Michelle Obama was “betrayed as Aniston steals her husband’s attention.”

The tabloids said last year that Aniston and Obama are “obsessed with each other.”

So, what did Aniston have to say about that? “Of all the calls you get from your publicist, where you’re just like, ‘Oh, no, what’s it gonna be? Or the email saying, you know, some cheesy tabloid is gonna make up a story, and then its that.”

Aniston told Kimmel she wasn’t “mad at it.” And she was clear in saying the tabloid headlines are “absolutely untrue.”

“I have met him once,” she said. “I know Michelle more than him.”

So, how did these ugly rumors get revived? Well, Barack Obama attended the funeral of former president Jimmy Carter and the inauguration of Donald Trump by himself as Michelle sat things out. That appears to have gotten folks talking.

But former “The View” host Meghan McCain appears to have helped fan the flames, too, during a recent podcast.

McCain claimed that the Obamas “live separate lives.”

“I have been hearing this rumor that the Obamas are getting a divorce by reputable people,” McCain, the daughter of John McCain, said on Tara Palmeri’s podcast. “I’m not talking about TMZ. I’m not talking about Perez Hilton, although I love him, he’s my friend. I’m talking about like very serious journalists telling me that they’re hearing that the Obama divorce rumors are true.”

Palmeri said she had heard similar things, and added “it’s not really surprising at this phase of their life.”

“And she clearly has very little interest — she has always hated politics!” she said. “She did not like being First Lady.”

Palmeri also noted that the Obamas did share a photo on Instagram on Jan. 17 that appeared to show them at dinner for Michelle’s birthday.

Also, back on Valentine’s Day, Barack Obama shared a photo of himself alongside Michelle, his head pressed against hers, and smiling.

“Thirty-two years together and you still take my breath away,” Obama wrote. “Happy Valentine’s Day, @MichelleObama!”

Meanwhile, Michelle shared the photo to her Instagram stories and wrote, “If there’s one person I can always count on, it’s you @barackobama. You’re my rock. Always have been. Always will be. Happy Valentine’s Day, honey!”

So, again, the rumors appear to be just that, rumors.
