The daughter of a former Eldred woman is getting her start in
business from the bottom up.
Zipporah Lynn Marley, daughter of Kristina Murawski and Stephen
Marley, is featured on a box of Pampers in Easy Ups size 4 that is
currently distributed nationwide.
This is Zipporah’s first entry into the “business” and started
out as simple as a friend of Murawski noticing how cute the girl
is. The friend, who works for a talent agency, saw something in
Zipporah.
“They called quick,” Murawski said of the Pampers casting call.
A couple weeks later, she was one of 25 children in Miami, where
they live, to be called back.
The picture taken at that shoot ended up being the one on the
box.
Zipporah is currently 2 years and 5 months; she had just turned
2 when the photo was taken.
At first, Murawski said she thought they’d get a picture “say
thank you and we’d leave.”
But at the one shooting “they wouldn’t stop taking pictures. We
were walking away to the car and they were still taking
pictures.”
She said the people were amazed at Zipporah’s composure, saying
she must do this type of work all the time because she was so well
behaved.
“They’d ask her something and she’d look at me to get the OK,”
Murawski said. “When I said, ‘No. Actually this is her first time,’
they couldn’t believe it.”
Murawski said a professional model, shown on the box with
Zipporah, would tickle her to get the girl laughing.
Murawski, who currently designs clothes plus is a singer, said
right now, they are being selective in what jobs Zipporah take.
“We go in and hope for the best.”
“Her personality goes along with the way she looks,” Zipporah’s
mother said. “It’s the nationwide thing that surprised me.
“She has a great personality that brings people to smile all the
time … she’s very well spoken, too.”
But being in the spotlight seems to be in Zipporah’s genes.
She’s the granddaughter of reggae legend Bob Marley. Her father,
Stephen, is a singer in his own right.
“She’s constantly bantering or humming her own tune or singing
mommy’s or daddy’s,” Murawski said.
Grandmother Mary Murawski of Eldred was brimming with pride when
asked about her granddaughter.
“She’s so adorable,” Zipporah’s grandma said. “But I am a little
prejudiced.”
But what does Zipporah think?
“She just thinks it’s the best thing,” Kristina Murawski said.
“Every time she sees it, she kisses her own picture.”
Zipporah, who is also the granddaughter of Allen Murawski of
Duke Center, will be featured on the box for an entire year.
