I'm very fortunate to still become extremely excited when the opportunity arises to bag a buck. My heart hammers, my attention becomes razor sharp, I'm forcing myself to control the excitement and adrenaline coursing through my body. As a young hunter, buck fever was my nemesis. However, my father knew what I had to do to overcome this challenge. Hunters can prepare and train themselves for those few critical seconds when success or failure hang by a thread.
