Bruce Roberts, 68, formerly of Bradford, passed away Aug. 21, 2026, at his home in Dade City, Fla., after a short fight with cancer.

Bruce and his wife and best friend of 49 years, Bev, moved to Bradford in 2004 for him to serve as preacher at Bradford Church of Christ on Derrick Road. He loved Bradford — especially the people, the area and the hunting.

In addition to his wife and best friend of 49 years, Bev, Bruce is survived by his daughters, Rheanna Coffman in Florida and Heather Fransen in New York; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and his brothers, Jim (Laura) Roberts in Indiana, Steve Roberts in Ohio and Gary and Leona Roberts in Georgia.

He worked at several different places in the area including ATA (Bradford), Apria (Bradford), Valu Home Center (Warren), Myers Trucking (MTI, in Kane), Salamanca, N.Y., Church of Christ and Sargent Transportation in Cuba, N.Y. Even though Bruce was born and raised in Akron, Ohio, he always said Bradford was home.

It is an amazing town with wonderful people!

He called Bradford home until retiring and moving to Florida in 2022 to spend time with his grandchildren. He never forgot Bradford and the amazing memories made there.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Sept. 5, 2026, at Spring Hill Church of Christ, 5456 Deltona Boulevard, Spring Hill, Fla.
