Josh Anderson (right) defeated Scott Crist on the 18th green after a nine-hole excursion in the 27th Shootout of Former Champions to unofficially open the 90th annual SWNY-NWPA Men’s Amateur golf tournament on Tuesday night at Bartlett Country Club. All participants played holes 1-5 before five qualifiers staged a shootout over 15-18, bringing the event to the final hole. Crist and Anderson won their Men’s Amateur titles in back-to-back years in 2000 and 2001, respectively.
