Ronald A. Mascioni, 83, of West Washington Street, Bradford, passed away Thursday (July 23, 2026) at Bradford Ecumenical Home.

Born Sept. 25, 1942, in Long Beach, Calif., he was a son of the late Fred and Helen (Carlson-Gorenson) Mascioni. He was a 1961 graduate of Bradford High School.

On July 25, 1961, he was drafted into the United States Army and was honorably discharged as a sergeant on July 24, 1964.

On May 26, 1967, in Bradford, he married Bonnie (Ruffner) Colosimo Mascioni, who preceded him in death on Sept. 29, 2018.

Ron began working by serving his electrician apprenticeship working on the Kinzua Dam and continued the next 20 years with Hull Electric. He was a member of IBEW Local #5. In 1991 he began working at Zippo Manufacturing Company until he retired.

Ron was a member of St. Bernard Church. He loved anything to do with aviation, he attended many air shows and was a member of the Stars Flying Club in Olean, N.Y. He served on the Bradford Township Planning commission and was a Bradford Township Volunteer Fireman for 15 years.

Surviving is one daughter, Suzanne (the late George) Lipps, two sons, Richard (Patty) Colosimo, and Steven (Tracy) Colosimo, all of Bradford; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, one sister, Patty (the late Dennis) Brantley, of Jamestown, N.Y., and one brother, John A. (the late Ruth) Mascioni, of Limestone, N.Y., and several nieces and nephews.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, wife Bonnie, and one brother Fred Mascioni.

Private graveside services will be held for family at Willow Dale Cemetery with Rev. Edward Walk, associate pastor of St. Bernard Church, officiating. Following the service, full military honors will be accorded by members of the United States Army and the Honor Guard from the Bradford American Legion Post 108.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.
