John Lindenmuth Jr.

John L. Lindenmuth Jr., 73, of Bradford, formerly of St. Marys, passed away Monday (July 20, 2026) at his home.

He was born March 20, 1953, in St. Marys, a son of the late John Loraine Sr. and Carol Joyce Byrd Lindenmuth.

He was a 1971 graduate of St. Marys Area High School and he earned his master’s degree in education and his Master of Arts in education from the former Beaver College, Glenside.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran who served at the Naval Air Station in Jacksonville, Fla., until his honorable discharge.

He was an avid basketball fan who loved to watch the games with his brother Rick.  He was also a music aficionado who especially loved ska music.

He worked in Houston, Texas, and Florida prior to moving to Bradford, where he worked as a window clerk at the Bradford Post Office until his retirement.

He is survived by one sister, Margie Palmer of St. Marys; one brother, Daniel (Susan) Lindenmuth of St. Marys; three nephews; one niece, two great-nieces and his faithful dog, JoJo.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Richard L. Lindenmuth Sr.

The family will receive friends noon to 1 p.m. Monday (July 27, 2026) at Mascho Funeral Home Inc., where a funeral service will immediately follow with the Rev. Jay Tennies, pastor of Hill Memorial United Methodist Church, officiating.

Military honors will be accorded by members of the U.S. Navy at the funeral home.

Private burial will be in St. Marys Protestant Cemetery, St. Marys.
