Some basics for a safe outing on a canoe
Canoes are a great way to float rivers and creeks and enjoy time on lakes and ponds as well. In most cases you will have a trouble-free experience but paddlers, in order to remain safe and secure in certain circumstances, should be able to turn, stop, and handle unforeseen circumstances quickly and safely just as those in any vehicle should.
