Charles Thomas Duffy, 43, passed away peacefully July 7, 2026, at home in Erie.

Born March 27, 1983, in Olean, N.Y., he was a son of William Owen Duffy and Judith Diane Pringle Duffy.

Chuck graduated from Smethport Area High School, where he competed in football with great passion. He joined the U.S. Army after high school and continued to serve in the National Guard.

Chuck enjoyed the outdoors, sports, chess, reading and Texas barbecue. He was a truck driver and enjoyed popping in with his siblings as he drove across the country. He adored his wife, Stephanie, and two sons, Benjamin and Jacob. His engaging smile will be missed.

In addition to his wife and children, he is survived by siblings Kathleen Spraker of Olean, Patricia (Milton) Kabir of Seneca, S.C., Nora Buterbaugh of Erie, Bridget (Bill) Grohe of Milton, Mathew Duffy of Erie, Daniel (Grace) Duffy of Boulder, Colo., Mark Duffy of Seneca, Frances (Robert) Duffy of Syracuse, N.Y., and William (Curt) Duffy of Cyclone; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his parents and one brother, Owen Duffy.
