A benefit for Rhett Kennedy of Bradford, pictured with his wife and four sons, will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 11 at the Limestone (N.Y.) Volunteer Firehall. The event will include a barbecue lunch and a bucket auction. Kennedy was diagnosed with Gerstmann-Sträussler-Scheinker disease, a rare degenerative brain disorder for which there is no cure.
